WIEF 2009 Jakarta Speaking in the Business Womens Forum

In 2009 I had the pleasure of being invited to speak at the WIEF Businesswomen’s Network as part of the pre-meeting to the World Islamic Economic Forum, being held in Jakarta. The invite which came from Dato’ Dr Norraesah Mohamd, Chair of the Network, focussed on ‘Growing the Next Generation of Women Entrepreneurs:  Engaging Young Women & Girls in Entrepreneurship.’  Other sessions included:  Opportunities beyond Borders; Evolving Role of Women in Business and Transforming Market Challenges into Opportunities.

The WIEF Businesswomen’s Network creates opportunities for women to share experiences and skills, network, support and mentor and to create worthwhile business relationships between numerous regions of the world.

The overall 5^th World Islamic Economic Forum sought to address key issues around the global financial crisis, food and energy security, the role of SMEs in development, and the prospects of green technology.
